Employee guides
The Employees' Guide to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) explains the benefits available to you when you join the LGPS. It describes how the scheme works, what it costs to join and the financial protection that it offers to you and your family.
It is for employees in England or Wales and applies to individuals who were contributing members on 1 April 2008 or who have since joined. The guide has been prepared so that it can be used as a complete booklet or as separate leaflets. The leaflets contain cross references to the other leaflets throughout.
