Leave of Absence
Your membership in the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) could be affected, and your benefits reduced, if you are off work for any reason.
This could be due to
- Sick leave
- Maternity leave
- Paternity leave
- Adoption leave
- Jury service
- Strike action
- Reserve Forces leave
- Unpaid leave
There are some provisions within the LGPS for these types of leave, giving opportunities to maintain your pension rights during these periods.
