Starter Pack
To join the LGPS you need a contract of employment that is for at least 3 months and you need to be under the age of 75.
New employees who are eligible are automatically brought into the scheme. There is an exception for employees of admitted bodies e.g. an employer that chooses to participate in the Scheme under an admission agreement. These tend to be employers such as charities and contractors.
If you are an eligible employee who can automatically join the LGPS, you should be given a Starter Pack by your employer.

Also employees who have previously opted out of the Scheme can opt back in by completing an opt-in-form.
