National Scheme Advisory Board (SAB) are reviewing the treatment of academies in the LGPS

  • To protect the benefits of members through continued access to the LGPS
  • Prevent LGPS being a barrier to Academisation programme
  • Improve administrative efficiency and effectiveness
  • Increase accuracy and reliability of data

The biggest concern for a number of academies nationwide is the variability in employer contributions within and across LGPS Funds.
